Steendam and Tjuchem join forces and are on their way to make their project "village in own hand" work! The past few months have been extremely hard work to achieve an optimal reinforcement approach for Steendam and Tjuchem. The project group Dorp in eigen hand has developed a proposal for its own approach together with the engineering firm, the municipality of Midden-Groningen and NCG. Participation in this approach is voluntary; villagers can also opt for NCG's regular reinforcement programme. To keep residents involved and support them in the reinforcement process, a digital platform has been developed. On this platform, Fokus, residents can easily communicate with each other, update their files and coordinate actions.
